TEHRAN – The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution has praised the bravery of Iranian combatants who lost their lives while defending the holy shrines in Syria.

The Leader made the remarks when meeting with the families of a number of Iranians who were martyred in Syria.

The meeting which took place on January 25 was published on the Ayatollah’s official website on Saturday, IRNA reported.

The bodies of five such martyrs were buried in Tehran on Saturday.
